Smaller, lighter, better is a tagline that well describes the current state of pistol-mounted white light illuminators. Given the reduction in barrel and slide length of many service pistols (Glock 45/SIG M18) and micro-compact concealed carry pistols, the benefits are quickly negated once a long weapon light is added into the mix. Its beam pattern features a bright central spot for positive target identification and generous peripheral light to help maintain situational awareness.
