Lancer systems has developed a carbon fiber handguard for the 9mm Sig Sauer MPX. The MPX Carbon Fiber Handguard is a direct replacement for the factory handguard and is fully M-LOK compatible. Engineered from the same lightweight, reliable, carbon fiber reinforced polymer as Lancer’s LCH5 and LCH7 handguards, the MPX model is available in both 10- and 14-inch lengths. Weighing 48% less than the factory aluminum handguards, they tip the scales at 4.0 and 6.7 oz. respectively. Installation of the MPX Carbon Fiber Handguard is identical to that of the factory handguard. In related news, Lancer Systems has decided to fully adopt the Magpul M-LOK accessory attachment system across its entire product line. The decision to abandon the KeyMod attachment system and was based upon the fact that its slots do not maintain their structure well in carbon fiber form. Pricing was not available at press time.
