B&T USA Print-X VERS36 Ti Suppressor

The unicorn recipe
The 3D-printed, low-backpressure suppressors are the future, without question. What was once wizardry in manufacturing is now mainstream, leading to very advanced baffle designs that can only be conceived through additive manufacturing (AKA: 3D printing). So how does a manufacturer set itself apart from the current sea of robot-produced suppressors? In our minds, there are three distinct ways to accomplish this: 1: provide a high level of performance and durability, 2: make your suppressor as modular as humanly possible for maximum versatility across a wide range of weapon systems, and 3: offer your suppressor at a competitive price. Combining these traits is a seemingly magical recipe, one that a large contingent of suppressor manufacturers have fallen short of to date. Not B&T USA.

B&T USA has placed a serious emphasis on suppressor technology over the past few years, and we’d even go so far as to say that they currently reside at the forefront. The new-for-2025 Print-X VERS36 Ti — an advanced, extremely-modular, multi-platform/caliber, 100-percent-Titanium 3D-printed suppressor with a flow-through baffle design — serves as proof.
B&T states that the VERS36 Ti is “the lightest, strongest, and most versatile suppressor you’ll ever own.” We think this is more than just marketing hyperbole, and — among today’s offerings — is actually an apt description of this suppressor’s qualifications. Rated for calibers up to 0.36, the VERS36 Ti is capable of being used with cartridges that have bullet diameters that the ubiquitous .30 caliber suppressor simply cannot accommodate, such as 338 Lapua Mag (for which it’s rated) and 350 Legend, among others The rear of the suppressor body is HUB compatible, meaning there’s no shortage of direct-thread and QD mounting solutions to choose from, and the replaceable end cap is available in all popular bullet-specific diameters.

Furthermore, the body of the VERS36 Ti is also modular, allowing you to remove the front section (or module) for a more compact package. Of course, decibel reduction is reduced once truncated, but running sans the front module makes it more size-appropriate for use on a handgun, subgun, or really any other weapon platform where a compact footprint is advantageous. In short form, the VERS36 Ti tips the scales at only 7.40 ounces, and in long form, 11.30 ounces. For a full-size rifle suppressor, that’s light … very light.

Included in the box are 1/2×28 and 5/8×24 direct-thread mounts, 5.56mm and .36 caliber end caps, along with the necessary spanner wrenches to allow configuration changes. B&T USA offers a variety of mounts for separate purchase, including their Rotex flash hider and QD mount, an A2 flash hider mount, threaded recoil boosters for handgun use, and a wide range of direct-thread mounts.

In the early days of flow-through, low-backpressure suppressors, their utility was generally only considered useful on weapon systems that were gas sensitive — rifles that would either beat themselves to death with the increased backpressure of a traditional suppressor, or those with non-adjustable gas blocks that simply could not be tuned to run reliably. While they did, more or less, eliminate “bolt lift” on a bolt-action rifle during rapid-fire strings, many thought early flow-through cans were a compromise in decibel-reduction performance. However, as Bob Dylan once sang, the times they are a-changin’.
Modern manufacturing techniques have paved the way for baffle designs with seemingly no compromises.
Testing the VERS36 Ti ran the gamut on various semi-auto host firearms, to include a Maxim Defense .308 Win AR10 (Rotex QD mount), a B&T 5.56mm APC 223 SBR (A2 QD mount), a B&T 9mm APC9K subgun (direct-thread mount), and a Kimber KDS9c 9mm handgun (Impuls recoil-booster mount). No matter the firearm, and especially in its full-size configuration, the VERS36 Ti is one of the most-quiet suppressors that On Target has ever tested. What’s more, thanks to its low-backpressure flow-through design, it induced zero malfunctions across the host firearms, nor did it create erratic ejection patterns or excessive gas in the shooter’s face — definitely a “cake and eat it too” scenario.

So, what does all this technology, performance, modularity, and lightweight 100% Titanium construction cost? $999, to be exact. Comparatively speaking, there’s no other suppressor currently on the market that boasts the resume of the VERS36 Ti, and if there were, we’re guessing it would lighten your wallet by an additional few hundred dollars.
