Streamlight ProTac 2.0 Rail-Mount HP ($334)
Streamlight’s ProTac 2.0 Rail-Mount HP is a rechargeable weapon-mounted light designed for brute-force optics and practical use. The head houses a C4 LED that produces 2,000 lumens and a claimed 85,000 candela peak. This power translates to a 583-meter beam and offers serious reach for long-gun applications.
Power is supplied by the SL-B50 USB-C rechargeable battery pack, which charges both inside and outside the light (no removal necessary), offering runtimes of 2.5 hours on high and 11 hours on low. TEN-TAP programming offers high/strobe, high-only, or low/high output profiles.
The ProTac 2.0 is machined from 6000-series aluminum with Type II MIL-SPEC anodizing, IP67 waterproofing, and two-meter impact resistance — attributes that ensure it will withstand practical, heavy use. It mounts to MIL-STD-1913 rails and accepts an optional remote pressure switch, available as either “light only” or as a complete system with switch and M-LOK mount.
At 6.30 inches and 9.06 ounces with the battery, it’s a package that favors output and runtime over minimal weight. For duty or hunting rigs where reach and runtime matter more than shaving ounces, the ProTac 2.0 is an easy recommendation.
