The new Precision Hunter ammo from Hornady combines superb accuracy with devastating terminal performance.
Precision Hunter is loaded with Hornady’s new ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag – eXpanding) bullets featuring Heat Shield tips that defy the effects of aerodynamic heating and retain their shape to produce the highest ballistic coefficients in their class. The high BCs are also attributable to streamlined secant ogives, optimal boat tail designs and highly concentric AMP copper jackets. With high velocities and 0- to 400-yard impacts, ELD bullets continually expand throughout their penetration, while the thick shank and Interlock ring keep the core and jacket together for 50% to 60% weight retention. Precision Hunter is available in 20-round boxes in 6.5 Creedmoor 143-gr. ($42.88), 7mm Rem. Mag 163-gr. ($54.77), .308 Win. 178-gr. ($43.59), .30-06 Springfield 178-gr. ($43.28), 300 RCM 178-gr. ($48.55), .300 Win. Mag. 200-gr. ($54.77), 300 RUM 220-gr. ($87.37) and .30-378 Weatherby Mag. 220-gr. ($126.85). Contact Hornady Manufacturing, Dept. OT; Tel.: (800) 338-3220; Web: www.hornady.com
