Nighthawk Double Stack 2011 17 & 20 Round Magazines ($74.99 to $79.99)
In our experience, one of the Achilles heals of the 2011 platform is its feeding device, always has been, and typically, these magazines need to be tuned to a specific pistol to reliably function … for a while anyway. Until now. To say Nighthawk has earned our loyalty would be an understatement, and to date, we’ve yet to lay hands on a Nighthawk product that hasn’t over-delivered and outperformed our expectations. Their new 2011 magazines, available in 17 and 20-round configurations, continue that pattern of excellence. The magazine tube is constructed from heat-treated, tempered stainless steel to provide strength and durability while also being corrosion-resistant. They’re tumbled and polished to minimize metal-to-metal friction, ensuring smooth, reliable feeding and reloading. The parallel feed lips are designed to position each round into the feed ramp at a consistent angle for enhanced reliability, regardless of ammunition type and brand. They’re easily disassembled for cleaning and routine maintenance while still maintaining a solid stop to prevent over-insertion. Load indicators in the sides of the magazine allow you to see if the magazine is loaded to capacity, without sacrificing strength to the structure of the main tube.
