Springfield Armory Kuna Pistol-Caliber Carbine

Springfield Armory Kuna Pistol-Caliber Carbine (Estimated sub-$1,000)

Springfield Armory breaks new ground with the introduction of the Kuna — a roller-delayed pistol-caliber carbine (PCC) chambered in 9mm that combines military-grade durability with civilian-friendly features. Designed for versatility and performance, the Kuna offers shooters a robust platform suitable for both range sessions and home defense scenarios.

At its core, the Kuna boasts a lightweight alloy receiver, striking a balance between strength and maneuverability. The fully ambidextrous controls, including low-profile charging handles on both sides, cater to both left- and right-handed users, enhancing operational ease. The threaded 1/2×28 barrel facilitates quick attachment of suppressors or other muzzle devices, adding to its adaptability. A full-length Picatinny optic/accessory rail is adorned with integrated flip-up iron sights. The M-LOK handguard provides ample space for additional attachments, ensuring users can tailor the platform to their specific needs. Available with or without a brace, the Picatinny railed endplate ensures the platform easily accepts a multitude of pistol braces and stocks (once Form 1’d, of course).

The Kuna is engineered for both close-quarters and mid-range engagements and for those seeking a reliable, feature-rich PCC without breaking the bank. As of writing this, its anticipated MSRP of under $1,000 positions it competitively in the market, offering exceptional value for a roller-delayed system.
