We’ve made our observations of the SAR9 well known in previous feature articles and the pistol has found a place in our repertoire. With the introduction of the SAR9 Subcompact (SC), SAR officially entered the subcompact race. The new SAR9 GEN2 SC is the smallest member of the SAR9 family. With a standard capacity of 12 rounds with a flush fit magazine, this 9mm subcompact pistol has plenty of firepower. The forged-steel alloy slide, with its optics-ready cutout, will accommodate any Shield RMSc footprint optic. A forged steel barrel with a recessed crown aids in the accuracy department.

The SAR9 GEN2 SC utilizes striker-fired, single-action technology. The flat-face aluminum trigger employs an integrated safety. This pistol is also equipped with enhanced mid-height night sights with a bright green front for quick target acquisition under all conditions. Included in the newly redesigned box are one 12-round magazine and one 15-round magazine. Additional magazines are available in 15-round and 17-round versions, as well as a 10-round configuration for those living in states behind enemy lines.
