Leupold calls the new VX-6HD Gen 2 riflescopes the “ultimate hunting riflescope,” and it’s hard to argue with that when you consider all the improvements Leupold has made to the proven VX-6HD line of scopes with their 6X magnification range and high-definition glass.
One big improvement is SpeedSet dial technology, which makes it easier to reset zero or swap dials on the elevation turret. You simply push a button and flip up a lever to remove the dial. Dials now have oversized numbers for greater visibility, and you can choose between a multitude of push-button illuminated reticles with motion sensor technology to conserve battery life. The scopes are initially offered in nine models in six versions:
