Starline 6.5 Creedmoor Brass
Now that Starline is in the bottle-necked rifle brass business, they’re cranking out new cartridge offerings faster than we can keep up with them. Their newest addition, 6.5 Creedmoor brass, adds another popular round to Starline’s growing line-up of high quality rifle brass, and is available at half the price of comparable quality cases. The 6.5 Creedmoor was designed as a target round in 2007 by Hornady, and has also become an extremely popular hunting caliber. It isn’t as long as other 6.5 short-action calibers, but it utilizes a 30° shoulder and very little body taper to help it achieve similar ballistics. Almost every major rifle company now offers either a bolt-action or MSR in 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s available with a Large Rifle Primer pocket, which is standard for the cartridge, which many shooters and hunters prefer. New Lyman Stock & Pistol Grip
Through its Pachmayr brand, Lyman has introduced a new AR-15 pistol grip ($27.98). It has all the features shooters want, including a hand-filling yet slim shape, shallow finger grooves for fast grip acquisition and proper hand location for easy trigger reach and control. It offers a synthetic rubber over-molded construction with a good looking yet non-slip texture. The grip is impervious to gun oils or solvents and will stand up to rough use. In Lyman’s TacStar brand comes a new Collapsible AR Stock ($34.98). It’s a tough, versatile, feature packed replacement stock for AR carbines with mil-spec (1.146” diameter) buffer tubes. The stock is made of super-strong, glass-reinforced polymer and has a unique “A” frame shape to protect the length adjustment lever. Multiple sling attachment options are provided, which include QD sling attachment ports on both sides as well as a sling slot.
